Event #1: Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers' Club Fall Dinner
On August 24, 2018, The Association of Former Students was quickly filled with Aggie Moms coming from all across Texas. This is an event that is hosted every fall semester, allowing moms to come together as a proud parent of their sons and daughters that attend Texas A&M University. Mr. Dave South, The Voice of Aggieland, was chosen as their guest speaker. He gave a phenomenal speech and thinks highly of the Aggie Mothers' Club. And to complete the event, we received a lovely visit from Miss Reveille! |

Event #2: Travel Reunion
Travel Reunion is a large reunion made up of the Aggies who have traveled with The Association since September 2017 as well as everyone who has been on five or more Traveling Aggies trips. The Traveling Aggies Program within The Association plans over 70 trips each year. This reunion gives the travelers the opportunity to learn more about other trips that are offered as well as reconnecting with those they traveled with. |
Event #3: Game Day & Reunions
For each home game, The Association provides the opportunity for everyone to come sit in the air-conditioned building and watch the game in real time, free of charge. There is also a bar and concession stand provided by the Hilton for those in need of a beverage and snack. Also during both away and home games, Former Student Programs plans reunions for classes that are celebrating a 5 or 10 year reunion; such as 25th reunion or 40th reunion. There are activities for them throughout the weekend that will allow the Ol' Ags to reminisce on their time spent in Aggieland. |

Event #4: Distinguished Alumni Gala
The Distinguished Alumni Gala is our most premier event that is held in the fall semester each year. This year, The Association of Former Students and Texas A&M University recognized eleven extraordinary former students on October 5th. The Distinguished Alumnus Award is the highest honor bestowed upon a former student of Texas A&M University. It is presented to individuals whose accomplishments, affiliations and careers have distinctly honored the legacy of excellence at Texas A&M. From taking one year to prepare for the event, to seeing the genuinely happy faces of the guests, it was all extremely rewarding. Our hard work did not go unnoticed as all of the attendees left feeling honored that they were a part of this memorable night. |
